First Steps for Autism Therapy Program
The First Steps for Autism is a comprehensive evidence-based therapy service, delivering individualised therapy for children aged 7 years and under.
Our approach is focused on understanding your child’s strengths; building strong, trusting relationships; and fostering an environment of care where your child can learn and thrive.
Your therapy program is developed based on what is important to you and your family and tailored to meet your child’s needs and preferences. First Steps for Autism offers a range of therapy in natural settings, including one-to-one therapy, school readiness sessions or a combination of these.

School Age Therapy
Our School Age Therapy service provides tailored support to children and teens to succeed throughout their schooling years. Therapy is provided in everyday environments to suit your child's life and activities. This can occur at our specialist hubs or within home, school, or community environments. The School Age Therapy Service works collaboratively with families, schools, and other community services to support children and teens to succeed throughout their schooling years.

Specialised Areas
At the Association we have specialised teams who provide support to individuals in the areas of complex communication needs and AAC devices, mealtime challenges, and understanding of behaviour.

Adult Therapy Services
Our Therapists can support you to increase your independence, take part in the activities you enjoy doing, and get involved with your community. We work side-by-side with you, your family and other important people in your life to create a service that is tailored to your needs and goals. We will work closely with you to design therapy supports tailored to living the life you want to live. Therapy supports will be delivered to fit within your routine and activities, and accessed in your home, education, employment or recreation settings.

Regional Therapy Services
The Regional Therapy Service provides support to families living in regional and remote areas of Western Australia through individualised therapy, training and education, consultancy and holiday programs. This includes individual support to families and their support networks via regional trips, webinars and individual teletherapy sessions. There are also school holiday programs where families come to Perth and connect with other families and children.
